What can acupuncture treat?

Acupuncture regulates the flow of energy through your body, and this has a positive effect on all the bodily systems. It releases muscle tension, improves circulation, enhances immunity and balances the nervous system and hormones. Follow this link for a detailed list the many conditions that respond well to treatment.

How does it work?

Acupuncture acts as a catalyst to stimulate your natural healing processes. Each point instructs your body about where and how to do the repair work that is needed.

Your practitioner combines the points into a personalised treatment based on your specific health needs. So your body begins to function properly, you heal from illness or injury and you stay well.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese healing technique that uses very fine needles  to stimulate your body's natural healing process.

It’s a safe and natural way to effectively treat a wide range of health problems, to reduce the signs of ageing and to maintain good health.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture treatments are usually not painful. Instead they are usually a relaxing and pleasant experience.

The typical sensation felt from acupuncture is a dull or heavy feeling around the needle. You might also feel a gentle pulsation or buzzing sensation along the channel that is being stimulated.  All of these sensations are considered a positive indication that treatment is working.
